lace skirt…

Sometimes I will come across a picture that for one reason or another will catch my attention. What I like about this outfit, aside from the pop of colour in the bag, is the lace skirt with heavy-ish booties. Okay, so while I am not about to walk out in a mini lace skirt like above, there are options that I could embrace more comfortably. And yes…I realize that we are in full summer mode weather-wise but a lighter top would be appropriate for out on a cooler summer evening. We do get plenty of those.

to bare or not to bare…

I have to admit that at the first hint of warmer weather I want nothing more than to shed the layers I’ve been cocooning under all winter. But, well my legs may need some TLC before that happens. Not to mention that I don’t feel as confident in short styles as I used to. It  isn’t that I feel women over a certain age should stay away from total leg bearing it’s just that I for one would rather not. Unless I’m on the beach of course!

Afterall…if I can achieve the same thing in a pencil skirt why not go for it in a way that suits me much better.

floral dress…

Although I love the soft flowing floral dresses this spring, this seems to be channeling Elaine from Seinfeld to me. I do love the motto jacket over the soft floral dress, I’m just not that into the white ankle socks with the flat loafers. I prefer it with a high heel strappy sandal or a knee-high leather boot either flat or heeled. But, she pulls it off beautifully…
