I have to admit that one of the reasons I love shearling jackets is that they offer such warmth. Or at least they look like they do. They can be quite costly and frankly one of those transition pieces that in weather like ours (Toronto) can only be worn for a very short period. But that doesn’t stop me from searching for one that I can easily justify as a must-have piece in my wardrobe. This incredibly priced one from yoins is just too good to be true as is this oneAnd like I said, it isn’t like I’ll be wearing it in January so who cares if it doesn’t offer any real warmth. I just want to look good now.

pink fix…

So, I think I have made it clear that I love pink. I especially love the soft, delicate pink of this season. The colour is so versatile it really can be worn with almost any other colour, like a neutral. But, I have to say that my current obsession is the monochromatic soft pink look. If you are looking for a new spring trench why not try one in the softest of pink…

faux leopard…

I’m not normally one to wear animal prints. But, this season faux fur leopard coats are everywhere. And…I kinda like it. Leopard print is really a classic in that we see it in some way, shape, or form each season. Pumps or flats in a leopard print can be worn with just about any colour…not just black. Mix up the patterns too if you dare. I own a leopard print sweater or two. Pants? Not for me…but I have seen them worn and was tempted…but still not something I am going to buy anytime soon. But back to the coats. I have my eye on a few like this one from ASOS  or this one from Mango both are reasonably priced and I don’t have to feel guilty about spending too much on a trend.

green coat…

There is something about a colourfully (is that a word?) cheerful coat in the middle of winter. Ahhh…green. So chic in this beautiful shade worn over a very simple all black outfit. What I personally love about wearing such an outstanding colour over a neutral palette is that the green is allowed to make a statement. Similar style coat by M Missoni or Lovebirds or Sportmax.

new year…

I really love this dress by Fendi. Although it has a neckline that is deeper than I usually wear I’m thinking a pendant can give me some coverage. Also, it’s a bit shorter than I like but flats rather than heels may work better for me. I can also wear opaque black tights if I want. This is a dress that I can work with.
