A shearling jacket is a fashion staple. It never really goes out of style. Some years it’s everywhere you look, while other years its presence is more subtle. Either way it is a staple. In my opinion it can be worn by almost everyone. Keeping in mind proportion and style according to your body type. Being a ‘shorter’ woman at a mere 5’1′ I like the shorter more fitted style for myself.
I have always loved monochromatic looks. It is so easy to put together and is always an instant hit. Too often this applies to all black – but why not play with other colours… This season in particular maroon is a very hot colour. Here Arielle of somethingnavy.com gets it soooo right.
This fall season is a lot about the seventies. Its influence is everywhere. I am especially loving all the brown suede pieces. Although I do love the look of head-to-toe brown suede (flare et al) I am a little hesitant to wear it. I think I’ll look for a button down dress like this Rag & Bone from ShopBop or a suede trench like this FRAME duster at SAKS
I have always been a big fan of camel coats. I love that I can pretty much throw them over any outfit and always look well put together. You know what I mean? A camel coat just does that for me. This year there is the suede overcoat that is trending but a good wool camel coat is always in fashion and a solid investment if you are like me and don’t mind spending a little extra on a piece I will keep and wear for years to come.
