This season we are busting out with our boldest of accessories. Starting with bags big or small. Put the focus on your bold and beautiful bag and keep the rest of your outfit simple (but never boring). I love this Rainbow tote or this one by Kate Spade.  I also love to hit vintage shops for great vintage statement bags.

It’s obvious to all of us that off the shoulder is the summer 2016 trend. It actually is a good trend because really almost everyone can wear it. And, like most trends, by now it’s been around long enough that you can buy it for next to nothing. Above Leandra wears Rosie AssoulinEqually stunning is this one by Caroline Constas and this one by Tibi. I also love this at ASOS by Vero Moda and this one at PixieMarket

summer’s shoe…

I think at this point we can all agree that the espadrille is the shoe of the summer. Whether a chunky high-heel wedge worn with a pencil skirt (as above) or a flat lace-up worn with culottes (as below), they are a summer 2016 trend that we will see right through to boot weather.

lace skirt…

Sometimes I will come across a picture that for one reason or another will catch my attention. What I like about this outfit, aside from the pop of colour in the bag, is the lace skirt with heavy-ish booties. Okay, so while I am not about to walk out in a mini lace skirt like above, there are options that I could embrace more comfortably. And yes…I realize that we are in full summer mode weather-wise but a lighter top would be appropriate for out on a cooler summer evening. We do get plenty of those.
