still sweaters…

It is freezing out. I know it’s still only February but I am at that point where I feel that I have exhausted my winter wardrobe and am running out of new ways to wear that big chunky sweater that I have already worn to death. I’m not really buying any more winter clothes at this time either…but did the groundhog say six more weeks of this? Well then, maybe just one or two more sweaters…

the non mom lob (a.k.a. bob)…

After a couple years of growing out my very short pixie I cut it all off again. Yup. But oddly, although it’s pretty short again… it feels long. I went with the new cut that’s been dubbed lob or non-mom-bob. Yeah, so basically a short bob. I love it and think it is probably the best cut I’ve had in a long time. It’s long enough that I can still pin up and curl…but short enough that I don’t have to fuss with too much. I love it.

the thing about style…

What I love about style is that we all own it. We all have our personal take on it and it’s all good. It transcends trends, money, and above all age. I know and have known people whose style and grace will never fade, even after they’re gone…My nonna Teresa was one of them. At 101 just before she died, she would still get her hair done and take the time to look good everyday. She didn’t do it for anyone but herself. She loved how she looked and wasn’t shy about it. This photo reminds me of her. Hair always perfect, jewellery on, outfit just right…she was a rock star <3
